it really annoyed me to see some people say “the ice bucket challenge trend was 3-4 years ago, why are they bringing it back” in regards to Kpop idols doing the challenge again this year (there were some comments like this on OH). What does it matter that it was a trend 3-4 years ago? Saying that it was a trend just undermines what the ice bucket challenge stands for in the first place, and I heard the challenge is taking off in South Korea again because there’s an ALS clinic opening up in their country.

i find it stupid how many kpop fans find it so important that the members of the group participate in the songwriting process and consider all those groups who don’t untalented or worse. for all we know, even those who got credit might have changed just one word in the lyrics or made some other small changes to the song, and yet they get praised for their artistic genious. personally, i’d rather listen to a good song produced by some random dude than to a shit one produced by the members.

People are way too hard on Fans who mostly listen to Boygroups, you do realize that not all of them are sexist like you claim them to be it’s mostly because of the music, A lot of people seem to forget that Kpop is about music, i don’t care how talented you claim your favs are or how unique their concept is, it all comes down to if i am interested in their music or not, if im not i really won’t bother with them, boy group or girl group.

I find it annoying when english-speaking fans just butcher some idols’ names. The thing is, it’s completely understandable when they have names with fonetics that don’t correspond with english sounds (i.e the “eo/u” or the “j/ch”), it’s hella confusing, but names like Leo (they say Lee-oh, it’s Leh-oh), Dino (they say Die-noh, it’s Dee-noh) or even Dara (Day-rah instead of Dah-rah)?? One would think that people would learn after hearing the name time after time.

When it comes to music shows wins it tends to get annoying when a bigger group is promoting and they get 11 wins in a row. I’m not saying they don’t deserve it for their hard work it just shows how much bigger of a fandom they have than other groups who also have good songs and deserve wins. Nonetheless Kpop isn’t a charity it’s a business
